WikiLeaks: CIA May be Hacking Cars to Murder People

It seems the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) could, at least in theory, murder you by hacking into your car’s computer, according to the pro-transparency group Wikileaks. And now, with some of the rogue agency’s hacking tools and methods available on cyberspace, any common criminal with some computer knowledge might be able to do so as well. It remains unclear whether the CIA, which brags about its mass murder, has actually murdered anyone by hacking their car. But reasonable suspicions about the possibility have been floating around for years — especially since the suspicious “car crash” death of journalist Michael Hastings, who was involved in exposing CIA and NSA crimes. Latest WikiLeaks release revives interest in mysterious death of US journalist

There is growing evidence that, prior to his tragic death in June 2013, award-winning investigative journalist Michael Hastings had been looking into material that formed part of what WikiLeaks would eventually publish as the CIA ‘Vault 7’ documents. Other evidence indicates that Hastings may have come upon a secret hacking organization set up by the CIA, that is also referenced in ‘Vault 7′. Fellow journalist Barrett Brown, meanwhile, continues to raise serious questions about Hastings’ death.

Details of reporter Hastings’ death remains elusive

It’s been nearly three weeks since Michael Hastings was killed in a fiery car accident in West Los Angeles. The award-winning journalist earned his stripes as a wartime reporter and captured fame with his 2010 Rolling Stone story that forced General Stanley McChrystal to resign as commander of the US forces in Afghanistan.

According to City News Service Hastings, 33, “was driving south on Highland Avenue when he apparently lost control of the compact (2013 Mercedes Benz CLK250) near Melrose Avenue and crashed into palm trees in the median about 4:20 a.m. Tuesday (June 18). The car’s engine reportedly ended up about 200 feet away from the impact site.”
